Default The July Cup

Okay let me get this straight..... Fortune got the mount on Bentley Biscuit, dropped that for the mount on Baltic King and now that Dutch Art is going took that mount?

Anyone else he's planning on riding here?

The funny thing is when the shoe is on the other foot watch the jockeys scream blue murder !!!
We had one here who claimed he should get half of the jockeys winnings if the horse won because he got dropped

Very true. That is big headed jocks for you though. I rate Jimmy though, one of best riding at the moment.

Really looking forward to the July Cup...... i will be there, so if anyone is desperate for any photos of any horses let me know and i will TRY (with the emphasis on the word try) and get some shots.

Sakhees Secret looks like a real tool, it's not an original selection but i hope he wins because he looks like the real deal.

Richard Hannon will have been doing the sun dance for Asset and it looks to have worked wonders.

I was gonna write a list, but it got waaaay too long.

How about this..... if you can, get a picture of one of the not-quite-so-popular types, like Gift Horse ( in an earlier race), Red Clubs (who could actually win) , or Bygone Days.

Oh, or Quito!

Or New Girlfriend!

Or.....

PS - If you see Michael Jarvis, tell him THANK YOU.

Okay this is what i'd like and it could take a little while so sorry... you're gonna have to forget about betting on / watching the races.

First off, we need two stand-ins..... one slightly hyper to fill in for THE GREATEST HORSE WHO EVER LIVED, and one kinda sedate for the second most beloved. Do you see what i'm getting at here? Sorta like a trip back in time. Rakti and Iffraaj.... those WERE the days, my friend.

I'd like the photo taken in late afternoon, when the light is pleasing. None of those the-sun-is-directly-overhead shots svp.

Rakti, or the stand in, will be standing in the bg... acting up but only a little. You'll have to deal with the conversation / motivation aspect.

Now the Iffraaj stand-in is in the fg, with his nose right up by Michael's shoulder. Can you swing this? Am I going too fast? Take notes if you'd like.

Let me work on composition and peppermint placement and I'll get back to you.

* * *

(Red Clubs retires at the end of the season).

Yeah, she was a bit full of herself. I felt sorry for her groom. She wasn't nearly as bad as she has been in the past, but she was a bit too healthy and fit if you ask me.

He was okay, he got quite warm though. He is an enigma, one his day he is very good (like today) but he really doesn't like racing. Ryan Moore gave him a brilliant ride today.

Got a couple of pics of him if you want, and Laverock.

Oh course he did..... Ace-ie taught him a lot.

Good luck to Mine, who has won this how many times(?) and to Vortex and Gift Horse especially (... who won't win but i don't care..... love him to death).

TOO many I like in the July Cup so I'll just stick with Red Clubs to win and hope that Quito is retired after the race.

COME HOME SAFE ALL OF YOU.

I think Sander Camillo is a HUGE price, now back to her best trip. People seem to be forgetting that not that long ago, she was ante post FAV for a classic. She has clearly failed to stay a mile, and back down to six, i think we will see a different horse.

It is raining here at the minute, so i wouldn't want to see too much more for her, but at the moment it's so light that it shouldn't affect the ground much, if at all.

Sakhee's Secret looked the real deal and he might just turn out to be a superstar. It's between him and Asset for me, who ran a massive race on ground he hated at Ascot.

Annoyed about Giganticus today, he's a horse i like, but he is quirky. Plenty of money for him this morning and i thought about betting him, but i went for Something in the end who was 3rd.

Gift Horse not good enough today. I know the lad who led him up today, so i spoke to him for a while. You will pleased to know that he still has the ability to win more races, but he isn't as good as he used to be and he needs a confidence booster in a lower grade race.

Sakhee's Secret is a superstar. He travelled like a dream and picked up well. Dutch Art came from the clouds to challenge and he looked like the winner, but Sakhee's had too much for him. Red Clubs was his normal consistant self, just found two of them too good for him today. He is a solid horse who deserves a gr1 win, but keeps finding one or two that are just slightly better for him.

I know.....

That's why I love him. I know how good he was... he doesn't have to prove anything anymore.

Happy for Red Clubs and yeah, someday.

Giganticus? Shocked but of course I'm happy for Robinson.

CAN THEY PLEASE RETIRE QUITO NOW????????

Start # 118.....

Enough.
