Default Mohegan Sun joins CapPlay's NY Bid

I think this could be interesting. . . I live about 15 minutes from Mohegan Sun for most of the year and it's a very well-run, upscale place. It would be interesting to see how they could develop BEL and AQU as long as they stay away from Saratoga! They've got plenty of money behind them so they could probably make a lot of improvements . . .

I've been there for concerts. Where do you go for the simulcasting? If you go in the front door, head left?

I can't imagine state lawmakers would hand over control of three NY tracks to a native american tribe.

Ya I think so but have never been in there. . . I'm not old enough to gamble there so I make my friend place my bets for me. . . He says it's nicer than Sports Haven or Bradley Teletheater (not sure if you've ever been to those). . .

The simo book is REALLY nice. Like my favorite simulcasting place in the country outside of Las Vegas nice.

Bradley is where I bet. It's maybe 25-30 minutes from me. I've only been to concerts at Mohegan. Slot machines hold no interest for me.

Maybe they can claim the property is still owned by the tribes, thus eliminating any taxes.

Mohegan has a beautiful racebook but ive always loved bradley teletheater. When I would fly into Hartford I usually just walk there from the hotel

I've been going to Bradley more and more to avoid the crowd at Hartford OTB. . . The side with personal TVs at Bradley is always too crowded though. . .

Youll enjoy Mohegan when you can go, its a lot nicer than Bradley. I just like Bradley because its right where I fly in.

It is very nice, but I wish they had more tracks to play. My last trip they didn't have 2 tracks I wanted to play.

This place is the best. My favorite place play outside of Saratoga and my laptop and own personal "simulcast center."

The place is clean. People are fun. I usually go there 5-10 times a year. Go for all the big race days. Saratoga races I can't get to Union Ave for, TC preps. Great drinks too. Get the milkshake - Jeff Mullins recommends it!

Can't say enough good things about the staff there.

Can't you see this headline years from now?

"Simon colt wins the 19th renewal of the Wapum Stakes."

i really think the tribe is in the running for the casino part of the business, not the racing.
