Default Perfect Casting in the G2 American Derby

I know this race is being run in Chicago, so it doesn't really qualify as "international racing," but I was wondering if MMSC or one of the other experts on European racing here could tell me if they know anything about the Irish horse in this race, Perfect Casting.
After a quick glance at the past performances, all three of his races in Ireland look pretty strong. He will be carrying 10 pounds less than he did in his last start when he was giving the place horse five pounds, and he will be on the big L for the first time, so I am considering using him.
Could you guys tell me anything about the quality of races he was running in over there, his connections' (Dermot Weld and PJ Smullen) success when shipping, etc. Any info would be appreciated for my trip to Arlington on Saturday.
Thanks.

Don't know much about European racing or horse, but Weld had success b4 in shipping to Arlington for these types of races.(American Derby)

Apparently, Dermot Weld has won 4 previous American Derbies. And Smullen was on 2 of them.

Perfect Casting is an interesting horse who should still be on the upgrade. He has only run three times, winning twice and finishing second once (on his debut back in May). Although the form of his wins is nothing to shout about, he has shown plenty of ability and looks as though he is best on a firm surface when breaking his maiden in ready fashion on firm ground at Leopardstown, so he has been running at the big tracks.

Dermot Weld is a shrewd man and i always take note of horses he sends abroad, as he simply wouldn't bother if he didn't think the horse had a good chance of getting in the frame at least. As you said, it is a race he has won plenty of times in the past, and he knows what sort of horse it takes to win the race, so the fact he is sending this colt over there says it all to me.

The replays of his races: (look for the Moyglare silks, white sleeves, black body and red cap)
