Do you have the official entries? Can't find them for the 29th yet!
Thanks.

Edit: I really only care who is in the Jim Dandy if you have that info. Thanks Hooves.

That that's what I thought - but if Hooves knows who else is locked and loaded for the Jim Dandy I was hoping to find out as well.

Just hoping Street Sense goes - Cherlokee is a good add. I saw CP West was also in the mix.

Matz must think he is finally ready to show what he has. I don't think Matz would put him in Jim Dandy if he didn't think he had a good shot a winning. Should make for a great race. Wish I could be there

Chelokee is an ok horse but will have no chance in the Dandy if Street Sense goes. I doubt he is even as good as Nobiz.

While Chelokee is nominated to the race, he is not listed among the probables on the NYRA website.

They would be wise to go to the West Virginia Derby but I can't blame them for trying in the Dandy if they do go. There is always a desire to take on the big boys once a horse starts putting togeter a win streak against lesser competition.

Chelokee could not beat Street Sense in the Jim Dandy or Delightful Kiss in the West Virginia even with his best effort. They are faster horses. Chelokee is hyped because his trainer trained Barbaro. Chelokee has yet to do anything that would make anyone think he is a top tier 3yr old. There is a reason why he has avoided the big horses. He can't beat them.

I agree. He has no chance if Street Sense is in.

My guess is Chelokee will not run, however if he does run I believe Matz believes he has a shot at winning. Matz wasn't just Barbaro's trainer, he is an excellent trainer, who tends to know when the spot is right for the horse. Don't forget he won a BC race last year. He has accomplished a lot in very little time as a trainer. I love SS, but he has lost before. SS was superior at 2 and has run some amazing races, especially at CD; but he is beatable. No one really knows how good Chelokee is until he actually runs against the top tier horses. I would just like to see it happen.

With the scattered thunderstorms predicted for this week-end, what are the chances of Street Sense scratching if it's an off-track?

That is an interesting thought. I'm sure Nafger doesn't want his first time back ran over the slop but at the same time I'm sure he doesn't want him to get into a full scale battle against Curlin first time out either and plus there is no guarantee that it wouldn't rain in NJ the following week.

How has he faired on the slop in the past?

Based on Asmussen's comments Curlin may not go to the Travers.
