I really like the filly and hopefully she runs well but I think everyone knows how I feel about the lovely carwash rag idea.

I missed it, what did he do with the rag...use it as a shadow roll or something?

He used it to cover her face so she wouldn't see anything in the paddock and then when they took it off...and supposedly they took it off too early or something....she reared up and Talamo fell off while Abrams was nearly run over?

Abrams got the idea because he was in a car wash with his own car and he was getting nervous being stuck in there. So he focused on those big rags that wash soap all over your car and that brought him to calmness. So I guess that's why it's the "carwash" rag.

I didn't see it, I'm just going by what I read.

Actually she just froze up with the rag still on. Simon Bray on TVG said the outrider should not have positioned his horse right in front of her because that left only one way to escape--up up and away! THEN they took off the rag, which was sort of like a fringe. . .and she calmed down pretty quickly. (After nearly trampling Barry Abrams.) Scary to see, funny to remember.

The whole day was unusual, with the unbleeped Michael Baze in the last, and the strange cover on spenditall. I wasn't watching when Baze made the comment and had to rewind to make sure I heard what I thought I heard.

The Rag was bright yellow and had fringe, sort of like ear mufflers, with fringe going over the eyes. If it had been black it would have looked like something out of Lord of the Rings , the dark powers horse armor .
I might have been frightened if I was another horse.

Joe did a great job with her, and Abrams held on tight. Yes the pony never should have been positioned there, especially in the paddock. Could have been a very dangerous situation.
And no matter what she went on to win, with our boy JOE.

That is more likely the vision he had. I have seen him face to face with a filly in the paddock and it looked like he was wispering in her ear. The results still make me LOL, she split his lip open in a heart beat.

Barry Abrahms is a bit of a nut, he almost died of cancer I believe a couple years back.
