I think about women before I think about anything, and when you compare Pletcher with Beckham................ahh...not a fair comparison..

Agreed about 20 pounds ago. That hot spice girl is disappearing, although I would imagine Beckham isn't exactly a one woman type of guy. Nothing made me happier watching him lose though. I just wished the US could field a better team.

Yeah, I was disappointed in the American's effort in the WC as well. but then when you sit back and realize that all of the world's best atheletes play soccer (or futbol) and then see how our third-tier best atheletes play soccer - it all makes sense to me.....We like our style of football better than the rest of the world likes their style of futbol...that's just the way it is and soccer will just always be the 4th or 5th most coveted sport in this country and that will never change IMO......

I make no excuses for the US team. They played the likely WC winner to a tie. They should have put in a better effort.

As other country's try other sports US soccer will come around before long. Now more athletes are playing other sports such as basketball to become a great world athlete in other sports.
