Default 8/23: Saratoga (Day 26)

Travers Week opener turned surprisingly difficult Wednesday as few managed to avoid a slaughter.. Barely kept head above water with 2nd race Tri offsetting 1st race blunder.. Centerport Baby (6th, 2nd @ 37-1) the key to keeping day from being an utter disaster as $111.00 exacta hit with Vinery entry chalk was a big help.. Hope you did OK..

DREADFUL maiden-laden card Thursday save for the fabulous Ballston Spa feature and Vitruvius ALW race in the 6th...

Steve, if you get a chance would you post your thoughts on pomme frites. There looks to be a fair amount of speed in this race and shes not exactly a horse that can track from 3rd or 4th. I know Mott is having a great meet and corny up never hurt any horses chances. I'm a big fan of my typhoon and while obviously a much shorter price, I believe she is much the best. She has had a stellar year and a win over this track.

Steve-

Agree with you on Lake Placid in the 3rd. . . Bred very well for turf on both sides and Matz has already had one 2yo winner in a turf sprint this meet. . . I don't see getting the 8-1 ML, however. . . Footloose Man also looks decent. . .
