Default Trying to hide?

Friday in the second race at TP Pletcher ran Referee a 1.2 million dollar Keeneland purchase last Fall. It was a 5 1/2f Msw and he laid back then blasted away down the stretch to win by an easy 7 3/4. This colt is by Distorted Humor out of the Deputy Minister mare Officiate. I wonder if Pletcher is trying to pull a surprise with tis one. Watch where next race will be.

With that running style, I imagine he'll return at KEE. Whether it's a stake or allowance I can't say. TP have the Roundhouse possible for the Breeders' Futurity and KEE should fit his running style as well.

I don't think The Robot is hiding anything. Maybe just following the same pattern that he had success with last year. Any Given Saturday, make his debut on September 15th at Turfway. Referee started yesterday on September 14th. Both horses are sired by Distorted Humor. Both horses ran 5.5 furlongs. Both horses cost over 1 million dollars as yearlings. Any Given Saturday came from 9th place to win easily. Referee came from 6th place and won in hand. Both horses have the same owners. Any Given Saturday made his 2nd start at Keenland, let's see where Referee goes?

I think you're on point. When AGS debuted at TP I posted on another forum about it, ended up asking a friend at WinStar about him on BC Day and he said "that's our Derby horse", and it was just he was ready to roll during the TP minimeet.

I was there last night and he is a super impressive horse to look at and his race was even more impressive in person. A serious colt to watch.
