I tell ya
Seriously, someone must really have me by the balls right now. the last couple years I have been able to rely on the Bears to keep my spirits high, regardless of other outside influences trying to kick them down but this is getting to an all time low. I mean, the Cubs are trying to keep me happy but honestly, that light isn't the brightest at the end of that tunnel. My friends were able to get playoff tickets to both games so that is a positive and I am obviously grandfathered into a ticket for each game, bleachers for the 2nd home game.
While I understand the sadness that is when your emotions revolve around your sport teams but I guess that is the price you pay for passion, being male and lack of hobbies that don't involve passion. They are just f'n brutal. Dan Jiggets is firing right now on Comcast Sportsnet and I absolutely love it. Line up and SMOKE THESE FOOLS OFF BOTH LINES. I think I am going to learn how to sew or whatever those chicks do with those two sticks, weaving or whatever. |

I'll be gentle as I hope you are when the Pack starts losing, but I think the bigger concerns for the Bears are the defense in general and the injuries specifically. I mean, Briggs, Harris and others were being carted off in the second half like the Catholics in the Colosseum. If they are seriously banged up and the D has trouble stopping teams like they did Dallas in the second half, then the Bear's offense is going to be even more under the gun

You're exactly right...that deal stunk the entire time. Smith was praying that Rivera would get one of the 9 head coach jobs he interviewed for because he was planning to launch him all along.

Grossman is still a useless tool, but without any excuse or positive game to point to so far this season. As long as we're counting on Grossman to perform well for more than one drive each game, we're going to keep getting blasted by any team that can put up 14 points. Injuries on D are killing us, and Dallas just wore us down last night, in a real bad way. Jones being gone is obviously hurting like hell. Benson has been running okay, but he's simply not capable of breaking runs like Jones was. Illustration: Benson's long carry last night was 12 yards. Grossman's godawfully lucky parting of the seas scramble was 12 yards. Last night was painful to watch, and something is telling me that it's only going to get worse. Someone's got to make a change *cough cough* in a hurry. |

Do you think they'll bench Rex? It will be interesting. TB let Griese go instead of signing him to back up Chris Simms. And Miami cut Griese loose in favor of Jay Fiedler. Scary stuff. |

Griese is like many other mediocre QB's in the league. He is capable when he is "on", but not capable of stringing multiple "on" games together. Rex is the same, thus the reason Lovie won't rush to make the change.
Orton = Griese = Rex They are all the same guy. |

When I'm talking about making a change, I wish they would make a real change, like I dunno, actually getting us a real quarterback. They aren't going back to the Super Bowl or anywhere close when they've got an offense only capable of scoring in the ballpark of 14 points per game. Their defense will win them some with those numbers, but not enough to matter. |

Orton actually has the most potential. Has a cannon for an arm and is like 6'5. I would play him over Griese, people forget that he helped win 10 games because he wasn't stupid with the ball.

They should have kept Jones, made him the QB, cut Rex and played the option like Army and Navy...

grossman sucks and bears management inept
As a patriot fan I don't have much to complain about right now. Sorry bear fans and i've told many of my bear friends, as long as grossman is your qb you will and i repeat never win a super bowl. He is horrible and way to inconsistent and makes bad decisions. Along with that, trading away jones was stupid too. Benson is average at best and he fumbles way too much. Jones was much better than him. As for the defense, I think the injuries are starting to pile up because they are on the field way too long. The bears offense can't move the ball and right now the best weapon is Hester. As for qb I agree you might as well start orton hes young and has potential. Griese is too old and the bears should have drafted a qb in the draft or go after a free agent. Tony Romo would be a great fit. If Jones doesn't throw the bank at him. He looks better everyday I see him play ( little bias hes on my fantasy team) and he showed he can deal with adversity. After the seattle debacle he could have fallen apart instead he dusted himself off and worked on improving himself. So bear fans cheer up you still get to beat up on minnesota and detroit twice a year. As for green bay in my opinion the jury is still out on them. Time will tell.
