Absolutely love my boy. Simply a game son of a bitch. Are there any doubters left out there?

I instantly thought of you kev! I really had doubts seeing him run the first half of the race with his head up in the air, but he is a game boy isn't he?

GO EC!!!!

We will see you in the fall at Churchill. Colonial Cup winner vs stakes/track record holding Colonial Cup winner. Bring it on.

Showing Up is a monster. I saw him last week and he is getting big, time to take on the big guys in the fall. SU should be on the undercard on Million day so we should get a good indication of how his times stand up against the older horses. I think they will meet at Belmont before the BC at Churchill anyway.

Im just really glad to see him running like I predicted he would at the end of last year and the beginning of this year. I was really big on him having a monster 4YO year and he has had just that so far..including TWO Grade 1 wins.

I never thought he'd be effective at a 1 1/2, even though it was a 1 3/8ths today, I think he will be just fine at 1 1/2 after seeing that, he was held back and then made his run, great effort and nice horse. Also, thank you to all of the owners and trainers for letting all of those horses run in the same race, that was great to see...

Mwind...it was a great race to watch. Tons of good horses. I still don't like rabbits in a race like that. Shake the Bank should go off at the highest possible odds every race he enters like that. Who are the geniuses that actually bet money on him, that is what I want to know.

Gotta give him the credit he deserves. I wasn't sure who would win the race, but I considered Cacique(my boy!!) a solid place bet(which he was).. EC showed some serious guts in the stretch. I hope that group goes to the Arlington Million next!!

I love this great rivarly that we are seeing develop. I have no hate whatsoever for Cacique...hes a great horse....but EC is my main man.

13 starts and already $1.97 million in earnings as a 4YO.

When I read the past performances before last year's Breeders Cup, I looked at EC and thought "there's the 06 winner".. of course I missed the 05

The Europeans are significantly better than all of these horses that take turns beating each other.

I said the same thing when I read last years PP's. You will notice i didn't talk about the race yesterday. Neither did Kev. Thats because we talked on the phone and both agreed that we hate races where that rabbit is entered. Its a riders nightmare and very hard to handicap because its a very unpredictable situation. I still don't know which of the top two finishers is a better horse and that the margin between them is narrow either way. But i would like to see Better Talk Now and his rabbit take a hike and try lesser races. Its obvious he is a cut below those that ran yesterday. I hate having that rabbit in any race scewing up the way the race unfolds.

Except when Dutrow puts a rabbit in a race (see Woodward). Then it is ok. Right? Maybe he can even enter 2 rabbits for his third horse. LOL.

Thats correct, that means for betting purposes. I am not against the concept of a rabbit as it is fair and legal and within the rules. If Dr Fager could suffer from it so can everyone else. I simply made statement that you are now trying to use out of context. I said I think rabbits screw up how a race is run, and I tend not to bet those events. Show me anyplace where I said they were unfair? Boy are you nuts, wifey go out of town and leave you free time? If thats the case go play some golf or get drunk and watch baseball. You are wasting time here looking like a complete idiot.

I know what you meant. I know you are a Dutrow guy and I was just kidding. No golf for me today, just watching tennis, soccer, and golf on tv.

Congrats GPK, I had my doubts and thought Relaxed Gesture was sitting on a big one, but when I saw 8-5 at post time I was scratching my head. Gritty performance by EC. I just hope he comes back to Chicago for the Million and makes amend for his loss in last year's Secretariat. I'm still a fan of EC and think he is great for our sport.
