Default Peterson - 12 carries 63 yards???

Why on earth did Childress stop giving this rookie the ball. He should be carrying the ball 20-25 times. I know the Viks paid money foir Taylor, but you cannot let economics get in the way of winning. I wonder if Peterson has some incentives in his contract that the Viks do not w.nt him to reach. If this is the case--PATHETIC>

As a proud owner of him in a rookie keeper fantasy league, there is more than meets the eye when it comes to his box score yesterday. Dallas did an excellent job of creating situations where it was tough to hand the ball off. 2nd and long, 3rd and longs. They pretty much forced Childress' hand with Jackson. I hope other teams don't catch on as to how to contain A Pete. This kid is a friggin BEast!
O/T, next years draft, I retain him as my ninth round pick. They hate me in my league as I also drafted Lynch, Calvin Johnson, Bowe and Olsen. Thing is, I have to keep them on my roster all year long or I wont have them next year. Olsen's about to get snipped and Lynch and Bowe might be packaged up for Gates, because of the Ronnie Brown situation for my buddy Rick. All is good as I have Addai as my second RB. 10 man league too, can't wait for STeve Smith to turn it up and get A Johnson back soon. On my way to the chip!! 2 large to winner, second place gets transaction fee's which should be the 200$ that it took up front to get in the league.

Look out fantasy B ball players, I'm well rounded and Im not just talkin about my waist size. My fantasy prowess is second to none.

Wouldn't fantasy wars be great?

What about fantasy fantasies?

Would a fantasy in the parallel universe be reality?

Do they have reality football ?

Do they nod off into reality land?

Do they have fantasy tv shows?

Disneyland would be a disaster over there.

So would Weiss' Noodles.

Realtasia?

If we have a man named Bush for prez do they have a girl named Joint?

Oh pay me no mind.......I'm on the treshhold of a dream.

I think the Vikings are playing Peterson properly. He is not a good blocker yet. And they want to work him into a high number of carries.

Against Dallas they did not have the ball enough to use him. And then when they could use him, the situations were all wrong.

The kid is an absolute beast though. Eric Dickerson is what he looks like now.
Dickerson also had the flaw of not being able to block. Hopefully Peterson learns so he can stay in on 3rd down. He is a threat on a draw or screen pass. But if you cant block... He would be able to keep defenses very honest on 3rd down passing situations.

Hopefully he remains healthy. Damn him for not going to Texas. Vince Young and Adrian Peterson... Holy ch it.

Doesnt Vince Young play for the Titans? Or are you talking about when he was in college?

College.
They played against each other.
You know, UT v. Oklahoma.
Unfortunately, Peterson went to
Oklahoma. From Palestine, Texas
and he goes to Oklahoma.

So we got Cedric Benson as our
Adrian Peterson. I laugh.

And the mighty Mel Kuiper had Benson
going number 1 in the draft... go figure.
All Peterson needed was to get healthy.
Everyone in Texas saw the kid run.
It was clear he was in another league.
When he went to Oklahoma it was
a depressing moment. But we got
over it in the Rose Bowl against USC.

Not to be argumentative but who in their right mind wants Peterson blocking? Maybe he needs work picking up the blitz but that is hardly an major issue especially when your QB has almost no chance of completing a pass anyway.

You are right. That is why he goes out on 3rd down with any length. They dont need a guy hurt who cant block anyway. And all Peterson does need to do is pick up the blitz. He is not going to block for another RB. Picking up blitzes takes experience that he does not have.
But when one has a QB that cant throw the ball anyway, it probably is madness having Peterson in the game even attempting to block. Too valuable for the QB he should be protecting.

I thought Rexy was bad till I saw 2 straight weeks of Tavaris or whatever his name is. maybe MN can run the option.
