Default FRI - BC Races

Breeders' Cup Races on Friday 10/26 at Monmouth Park

R8 - BC F&M Sprint

#10 Baroness Thatcher - 3yr filly is much more suitable to sprinting and will be overlooked on the toteboard.
#3 Dream Rush - Comes in fresh and has never been worse than 2nd in 8 career starts.
#7 La Traviata - Will face her toughest test to date, but she looks up to the task.
#2 Miraculous Miss - She'll be moving well late and should be used underneath.

$1 PK3 - 3 7 10 with 4 6 8 9 with 3 8 = $24

R9 - BC Juvy Turf

#4 Cherokee Triangle - I know he didn't beat much in LaDowns, but it was ultra impressive.
#6 Gio Ponti - Clement trainee in a great hands and should move forward.
#8 Achill Island (Ire) - Must include an O'Brien entrant with potential.
#9 Prussian - Looks to be an underlay, but he's playable in all slots.

$5 DD - 4 6 8 9 with 3 8 = $40

R10 - BC Dirt Mile

#8 Corinthian - He'll be a handful down the lane and the distance hits him square between the eyes.
#3 Wanderin Boy - More than capable of running a big one on the front end.
#2 Lewis Michael - He's had a great year and is well suited to score for the Chicagoans.
#1 Discreet Cat - What a difference a year makes. Not worth the risk in this spot.

$5 Ex Box 2 3 8 = $30

Good Racing Luck

Not much just looking forward to the weekend. I saw your post and I agree with you on most races. I hope that turns out to be a good thing. I have a group and we're taking a stab at the Ultra PK6 on Sat. All the pressure to make the final selections are on me. It's time to step up to the plate and swing for the fences. Good Luck to you with your selections.

Achill Island is the bet of the day today.. If he does what the other O'Brien horses have been doing for October, he'll win this by 5lengths..

Corinthian is also a solid play today, IMO. Look at his record OUTSIDE of NY.... and away from the detention barn.

Below is my first shot posting win selections on this board.

F&M Sprint: Oprah Winney - Hope she tries to press the pace versus being on it with Dream Rush and La Traviata, and she gets first jump on leaders turning for home.
Juv Turf: Domestic Fund - I like both Euro's, but figure this one will be higher odds. Extreme outside post a slight concern.
Mile: Wanderin Boy - Looking for an off track wire to wire job just like his scores on 5/4/07 and 6/6/06.

These picks were done without the almighty Mortimer insight.

Agreed - this one has only seen these conditions - all starts are over off turf surfaces, whereas most have never seen soft footing....Decided edge, but the 12 hole will require some finesse to overcome - should fetch a nice price, not sold on Strike the Deal at all @ 5-2 - Achill Island is probably my fav of the invaders

I'm not sold on Strike the Deal either. I read somewhere, I can't recall where though, that STD does not like soft ground. I should clarify that I like Achill Island, and Domestic Fund of the 3 Euro's that are entered.
