Aqueduct 11/9
Looking at late pick4 today at Big A. Key race for me will likely be the 8th.
Thinking just Gold Trippi and Bankbusted. Any strong opinions there? Good Luck! |

I think the card sucks.
I like Stopbluffing in the first but the favorite may be tough to beat. |

I interested in Queen Joanne in the 7th. Monster wide trip when 2nd to Cat Charmer (who had a rail trip and is going in tomorrow's stake at CD) last out, coming home in a very fast quarter.

You think she'll be the chalk with Bachata and Unspoken Word in the race?
It's all about trips for me, you know that. If the price is right, I bet; if not, I pass. |

I do but you're probably right that it may be at least close. I can't believe the public will fall for Unspoken Word's hard turf races.
What did you think of Bachata's trip last time? |

Obviously you and I have a basic disagreement about the Belmont wides and don't you think it's interesting that Queen Joanne beat Cat Charmer by a nose at Saratoga with easily a five length trip advantage yet while with, according to you, a much worse trip comparison the next time Queen Joanne finished only a half length behind her?

I thought that even though she was blocked for about a half of the stretch run, she was inside the entire race and Mott's horse (Stormy, whatever), wider entering and in trouble upon entering, finished as well as, if not better than she did. Wouldn't surprise me if she won, but the race fell apart late.
However, I'm glad you asked, cause I was looking at that race last night and was blown away by the effort of the winner: 6 wide or so 1st turn, widest, without cover on the backstretch, widest 2nd turn, and didn't change leads in lane while drifting in, and still blew away the field. She ran a worse version of Bit Of Whimsey's trip in the BEL stake (before she blew away the field at KEE) and still won. |

It's hard not to prefer Bel Air Beauty to Bit of Whimsey at a better price tomorrow. I'm not impressed with the field for this year's QE11....but Bit of Whimsey was impressive in the lane.

It's still a bit of a " trip connundrum. "

Rain not inspiring confidence either...
Probably split pk4 with Pointman R6 - 2,4,6,7,9 R7 - 6,11 R8 - 6,7 R9 - 2,8,9,10 $80 |

There was never a time when I thought SI was a roach.
To really appreciate that SI is okay, you have to watch his footwork on the turf, which is excellent for a relatively inexperienced horse. He'd never been around 2 turns before yet his changes were like clockwork last out. |

He will never beat an even reasonably talented horse without the benefit of a dream trip. I will honestly be shocked if he ever wins another non-claiming turf race.

OckeyDuck race 8
Keying the 4 in a tri with 1,3,5,6,7. With the 4 on the nose, will not be using the 3. 1 ex box 4 7 9 After this sad attempt, I will only have 22 dollars left in my phonebet account. SAD, considering what it looked like after the BC.
