How did we miss this one?? 6th race MSW at AQU with Mclaughlin as the trainer however this horse lost his FTS 25 lengths behind. Horse was sent early, hooked with the favorite up front and shook him off at the final furloung. |

![]() KMc's numbers with 2nd timers are very good, too. . . The fact that Maragh was on him and he didn't take much money is also very strange. . . When a horse is live from that barn they usually get pounded. . .

![]() Well he showed nothing in his first, took no money in his first start, and really looked DOTB in his second. That being said you had to play against the favorite who was a bad 1-2. I opted for the Kimmel who ran third which gets me a hamsandwich.
Was a very snappy race and I would look for the Kimmel horse to be much better when stretched out. Much better is a stake horse FHW went 21.92 45.12 57.14 109.90 MSW went 21.49 44.63 56.89 110.18 T |

![]() You say you " had to play against the favorite. " Why exactly is that? I didn't bet, but to me that horse was a complete cinch on paper, and considering the horse that beat it came back to win the Preview at Hollywood later in the day, the final result becomes even more confusing.
Frankly, only a horse that ran a completely different race than was shown on paper could have beaten the favorite, and that is apparently what happened. |
