CBS definitely gets its monies worth with SEC football package...

Vols score in 3OT, game tied, awaiting conversion for victory OR miss for fourth OT. I'm tired just typing this post.

uk lost the game first in regulation by not play for the TD to win, then did it again in the 2nd ot, they played for the FG to win.
the cats had to good a season to see it end that way.

Another fortunate break for LSU, avoiding their 3rd loss in the Dome against GA

actually, it's not a break for lsu, as they needed to face the higher ranked ga next week.
of course if they play like they did yesterday, it won't matter. lsu played not to lose yesterday, rather than doing what they did early in the season. crappy game vs an opponent i can't stand. now i get to listen to all these g--d--- arky fans who get to crow because they won, and went 7-5 for the year. yippee. i'd have rather lost to bama then the hogs.
hey, now maybe i can deal with another year of these yahoos talking about whether nutt can stay or go. like 10 years of that crap wasn't enough. dammed fair weather arkansas fans. ready to feed their coach to the lions every time he doesn't perform to their overblown standards, but he's probably everyones hero today.....

They were dead either way. They cant pass WVU or Ohio State if Mizzou was to lose next week.

yeah, it was a far outside shot. hell, if they wanted it bad enough, they would have won yesterday.
still had a good time, but definitely would have been better to leave with a win.

This year the SEC was just way too tough.
No team in the country could escape without
a pretty bad loss. If you are slightly off one week, you lose.

I dont buy the "they wanted it more" logic. They got beat because they give up tons of yards and big plays. That has been the problem all year. They just aren't as good as everyone made them out to be. Other than the Va Tech game (played when Va Tech was not playing well at all) who did they dominate? Hell they struggled in the 1st half with Tulane.

What team in the SEC did not give up a ton of yards and points? What team in the country would not give up a ton of yards and points in that conf.?

i felt early on that they were playing yesterday not to lose. too many times they came down to the wire, this time they fell on the wrong side of it. les miles seemingly was outcoached in the second half. game should have been blown out early on, but it wasn't. should not have gone into overtime, but it did.
i believe you're biased against both lsu and the sec, so i doubt you would see anything other than what you've been seeing all year regarding the play and the opponents.. it's just another year of any sec team being able to beat a fellow conference member. a lot of physicality, which has definitely caught lsu with several players having limited or no play at all yesterday. flynn was abysmal, the defense in the second half seemed confused. but then, one has to wonder how much the def coordinator was paying attention to his CURRENT job when he's trying very hard to get his next job. it was a muddled mess, and arkansas benefitted greatly. you can't make mistakes and play half assed play and expect to win in that conference.

Oh please. All those Offensive juggernauts in Vandy, Alabama, Auburn, Miss St. Ol Miss, South Carolina...1/2 the conference has worse than average offenses. Arkansas runs the damn Veer. With the exception of Woodsen and Tebow there is not another good QB in the conference. With the exception of Florida, there is not a modern offense in the whole SEC.

they beat miss state 45-0.
first three games this year, their opponents combined for one score between them, while lsu scored over 40 points each game.
but they hit sec play, and a wall. only one wide open game since then, and then a fairly easy win vs ole miss.. and then yesterdays ugliness.

maybe i shouldn't be wishing for miles to stay.... i think he's a good coach, but they definitely aren't playing up to their seeming talents.

Must also remember the possibly the best defensive player in the country, Dorsey, was playing at half speed most of the season. I hope he did not hurt himself permanently.
