If I was the Falcons owner Roddy White would be on the bench for the rest of the year for the embarassing tshirt he showed. Lack of class on White's part, not only did he embarrass the Falcons but also the NFL maybe thats why they let a Saints team embarrass them Monday night. I wonder what White would say or do if he had a dog that got abused. Im sure Jesse and Al might get involved, its been a month since they opened thier big mouths. You have to open your mouth to release the hot air that is in it ever once in a while. He should get fined for the shirt, TO and Chad Johnson got fined for lesser things that they did.

I just couldn't watch the game last night...absolutely zero interest in either team. A friend came over and we watched 7 episodes of Buffy (yeah, I've turned another one)....now I'm interested, what did the shirt say?

Under his jersey he had a black shirt with white writing that read - "Free Mike Vick."

I understand, and I agree he has every right to express his opinion. As a PETA member and dog lover, I disagree but his opinion is as valid to him as mine is to me. I like the Dixie Chicks, didn't change my mind about their music when they expressed their opinion of Bush, I love the music of Heart, even though the Wilson sisters staged a benefit for Charlie Manson...bottom line, we don't toss out the First Amendment just cause we disagree with someone.

wonder if the nfl will get fine happy with some of the falcons. remember the hubbub over mcmahons head band? i doubt free mike vick is on the uniform list as allowable wear.

as for free speech, it doesn't apply in the nfl--it costs you 25 grand to give your opinion about the referees.

I can understand protecting the refs. There cannot be any thought of a ref fixing a game because a player blasted him in the media. Protecting the refs protects the integrity of the game. What was on White's shirt (no matter your opinion) does not to hurt the integrity of the game.

i can't. if a ref blows a call, why shouldn't he be called on it? if someone asks your opinion, it should be allowed.
crazy that your free speech ends at the coliseum door.

It does not end of at the coliseum door. But you cant have players and refs going at each other in the media. I wish they could and would support such action, but I can understand the NFL's view.

Last I checked, everybody in the South eats fried chicken.

Hyper-sensitive society we live in.
