Default John Henry in a field of 25?

Pick Kentucky’s most intriguing newsmaker
2007 was a year of intriguing personalities in Kentucky. Whom do you find the most intriguing?

John Henry
The only quadruped on our list. The racehorse’s death at 32 brought more than 500 mourners to a service at the Kentucky Horse Park. Would you draw that many?

he's at 24% with over 1600 votes in. He was at 25% with 1300+ votes when I voted.

It would be nice to see him win.

Notice who's in there at 2%? It's the Curlin crew - and I quote:

Melbourne Mills, Shirley Cunningham and William Gallion
How the mighty fell. The fen-phen three traded expensive suits for prison garb after being indicted — and unexpectedly jailed — for one of the largest alleged lawyer thefts in Kentucky legal history.

Yes this is a prestigious award. I would much prefer Miley Cyrus because my parrot is fond of her music. And really the award means more to him than me since he is the one that's going to be pooping on the winner the following day.

Vote! Vote! He's losing to:

Jon Weece
The Southland Christian Church pastor moved those attending a Comair 5191 memorial service without saying a word. He also got nationwide attention for asking parishioners to write letters of support to Britney Spears.

Really? That guy is beating John Henry?

Unfortunately, the crazy Christians can't be defeated in anything....even a meaningless contest like this one.

Kathy Griffin's show got renewed for another season, the sting of their attacks on her have not led to her being shunned from the public square and finding a husband to whom she may humbly submit -- so really, they don't win everything.

Well that's a relief. I don't know what I would've done if they cancelled Kathy's show.

I hope many of those comments are not coming from real parish members of the second-place finishers church. Got kinda ugly there.
