Default T-U: NYRA Deal Imminent as Monday

http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories...ate=12/30/2007

Appears to be coming to a satisfying, if annoying and harrowing, conclusion... And also appears to be basically the way things were laid out in the MOU back in September...

25 years maybe instead of 30..?

Restructuring of Board of Trustees (which was happening anyway)...

Some goals, targets, benchmarks which Charlie Hayward was ammenable to as long as they weren't obviously built in to ensure they couldn't be met...

A legislative source briefed Saturday said the Assembly, Senate and Gov. Eliot Spitzer's negotiators agreed to a framework of a deal to give NYRA a lengthy extension to its franchise, a deal that also calls for restructuring NYRA's board. The deal is supposed to be announced Monday.

I'll drink to that. Hopefully this will put an end to this lengthy and frustrating process!

So all pockets are lined and there's plenty of drugs and escorts to go around?

There is an agreement
