Is it just me or does Well Armed look like the only horse in the San Pasqual who wants to run on the lead? If he gets to amble along up front early, he could leave them flat-footed late.

Somebody had to win those graded races (of which there are far too many for the way trainers have campaigned horses lately), but all that connected form is quite moderate.

After seing the 9th race(phony speed race where no one closed, and hardly anyone passed a horse claimers i think in like 107) i played it two times more. Tiago or Ravel may well be the best horse but thats not what matters on that surface. I am happy after the malibu and now this, still wish they would get that surface at least halfway respectable for the sport. I was like 2 split personalities - a gambler cheering like mad and a sportsman disgusted by the gimmicky track.
