Hooves,
The turf rail is down, at least according to the track super's office.

The guy who does the website update, on the other hand, is another story.

Thanks. I was trying to figure that one out myself. According to what he wrote, they were going to be moving the rails ever 30 minutes. Now, that's at tough day at the office.

question:

how do you alter your handicapping of a race depending on where the rail is placed ( speed, outside, inside, etc. ).

You'll have to ask BBB that one.

These are very interesting picks. Must have something to do with the intracacies of the rail placement, I suspect.

As my vacation winds down, all I want to do this weekend is get tanked up and throw some money around. Saving most of my 'roll' for tomorrow. Hopefully, tomorrow's Millions will treat me better than they did last time around. My man Rafe ships back eastward for Ginger Punch, who would be a lock if it weren't for Memorette.

The late Pick 3 looks playable today with the o/c in race 8 seemingly a two horse bout.

7- 1,2,4,5,9,10
8- 4,5
9- 3,6,7

7- 4,5
8- 4,5
9- all

7- all
8- 5
9- 1,2,4

Best of luck to those playing today!!

I was out watching P Ortiz BLOW the ride on Catalana at 5:1.

I don't know who's going to win that race. It's tough; but if I were betting I'd certainly wouldn't take a horse that couldn't beat maiden claimers on the turf.

Since the going is off, I suspect that the race will come down to a mad dash in the stretch. As such, I'd think that Heat of the Night and HotStuf would have stronger kicks than Nombre De Dios. I'm not so quick to dismiss HOtStuf's last race, as he was too close early and they come home very fast.

I think that Tastefully Smart is interesting: though, he was probably a bet last time out. Doubtful he gets a perfect trip again.

Between Lopez in the 2nd and ALvarado in the 9th, they killed what would've been a HUGE DAY for me.
