Default NY vs. California Pissing Match

Just announced on Capital OTB. No live races will be broadcast from
Northern California tracks due to a dispute.

Wagering on Santa Anita and Golden Gate Fields is unavailable today because the California Horsemen have withdrawn their consent to interstate simulcasting and wagering with the New York State Off-Track Betting Corporations.

We apologize for this interruption and are working to resolve the problem.

Who's working to resolve this on Saturday or Sunday???????

Seems like California is just as bad. You're wrong about No Cal racing at Golden Gate, it's got much better feilds and alot of Santa Anita stock has been racing at G.G. Play Golden Gate and you will come away a Russell Baze fan.

Not to be unsympathetic, but why don't you have a NYRA-One account?

I probably should...this problem has happened in the past with Capital. This really must hurt the Cal. tracks though, with all the cancellations and now the OTB monies.

It seems like you should have at least some other account.

I'm in the same boat Andy. I think I will be opening one......today. I was going to do it sooner, but I'm a creature of habit (and an ugly one at that) and then Capital went to online wagering which made it even better.

I understand. I'm also a creature of habit. But, when something like this happens it makes us realize how foolish that is, and hopefully we smarten up.

The Pavlus residence. I'll be betting horse like a madman starting at Noon.
It's tradition...those guys cook outdoors and I sit on the couch, drink at bet horses. How about you??
