Default Tom Petty and the Network.......

Tom Petty and the halftime show was good I thought. He and The Heartbreakers have always been a great band for alot of years. Just a thought on the songs they played, and they came to be chosen. Anybody besides me think the Fox Network yahoos, picked out the final 3 songs, and only gave Petty the choice of 1? I was pumped when the music started up to "American Girl" a great rockin tune, I've always liked. Then, I freakin called the next 3 as I sat here, and damn if he didn't go into the commerical HITS HELL in playing "Free Fallin", "I Won't Back Down" and "Running Down A Dream"! All fine songs, no doubt, but you freakin know the FOX goofs handpicked those tunes! I'd rather have heard "Breakdown" , "Refugee" , and "The Waiting" as follow-ups! How about you all?

Those are the big 4, I saw him concert twice. The first time it was all his hits and he and the heartbreakers were awesome. Then I saw again and he had an album coming out and they sucked. I have to admit that I didn't really watch him tonight. I was bitching and moaning about the halftime being so long. I just wanted the game to start again. From what I saw, they seemed to be pretty good. But judging the way he looked, I wouldn't suggest him buying green banana's. Put the damn bong down Tom.

lead singer from pink floyd did a show, which we taped and watched later. looks nothing like he used to-of course. but the voice is still the same, and i love that guys voice. but it's odd to see someone who looks like a grandpa singing pink floyd songs!!!

I have always been a big Petty fan. Seen him live a few times over the last 20 years, and always a great show.

The guy has had a prolific career and I think he is unquestionably one of the great American rock guys.

Now the Traveling Willburys...there was a talanted, and handsome bunch of fellas...
