Default DRF vs Bris vs Equibase

I know a lot of you like Thorograph however if it was not available, which of these three do you like better and why?

I like the DRF, especially for turf races, as they put the Tomlinson numbers in, also they put the timeform numbers in for the Euros. The Tomlinson numbers also help a ton for mud races.
DRF also normally gives more back races for the normal track claimers that run frequently than Equibase.

Bris would be my 2nd choice out of the three.

Most of my betting is turf and late last year I moved to BRIS which I prefer due to their pace figs within a race among other reasons such as sire and dam stats. That said, it's only part of the 'capping process. There's no substitute for watching as many races as possible, whether live, via DVR or replays as is available on twinspires.

It depends. I like BRIS because they give away free PPs for certain trainers and owners. Sometimes you can almost collect a whole card full of free PPs if it's a big day of racing with a lot of graded stakes.

But if I have to pay, then I use DRF.

BRIS for me. I like the ultimate pp best. It's easy to see the running style of the horse...the prime power numbers are worth a look. They highlight the 3 top horses in several catagories. I'm used to their format.

I agree that their site has alot of useful info. Their site's tons better than their program pages.

If you have the time DRF Formulator is easily the best as you can get so much information you can spend hours on a race.

For me I use Bris as I have a life outside of horse racing (unfortunatly) and get what I need in a quicker way...the best is to combine capping with watching past races as you find questions about trips as you read.

I prefer Bris not necessarily because they are better than the Beyers but mainly because they don't drive the lines like the DRF ones do. When I cap a race with the Form I quite often come out with the horses in the exact same order as the odds. When I cap using Brisnet I often will find 20/1 shots come out as my second or third choice and have had many of them come through for me. So even if the DRF may be accurate more often I find I can make more money using Brisnet since it finds me the occassional longshot that may not show up on the Beyers.

Thumbs up

I'm a big fan of BRIS ultimates, and have been using them for years. After years with them, I just can't cap many races without those pace figures. The race summary on the ultimates is a great quick tool, and the track profile information is fantastic after the first couple of weeks of any meet.
