Default Davis/Telford (Phar Lap) Colours to race

http://www.virtualformguide.com/cgi-...080306phar.txt

A little confused by this story as the red jacket with black/white block sleeves will be in use at Flemington Saturday... Indicates the colours are owned by the widow of bookmaker Jack Hurry 'who registered them'... Did he register them in concert with Harry Telford and Dave Davis or were they loaned to them by Hurry in the '30's?

You have to register your colours each year & then pay a yearly fee to keep them so i wouldn't be surprised to find that they had lasped & the bookmaker registered them & has been paying the up keep

M/I,

Thx.. Amazed that the AJC wouldn't have retired these silks... or the ones with the green in them.
