Is this horse related to Shamdinan?

It was a surprise to Angel Penna that he was left with him originally... He hadn't expected to keep him long term, though at this point I expect he's disappointed to lose him. Got to see Shamdinan at Palm Meadows recently, and he's a really nice horse...

The horse has BC winner written all over him. Mr Wolfson could have seen to that with a little seasoning.

He's a REAL MONSTER (when he gets a perfect setup).

Didn't he never see the horse until the day of the race?

Nothing nuts about Wolfson moving up reasonable turf talent... Agreed its a stretch but think about the last two that he has gotten to jump thru hoops

If we saw the talent in MApproval we would have claimed him

Who the F thought MAppoval was a scary talent that would go on to win a BC race when he was available for a tag?

All I know is this horse tried to run with Thorn Song and Einstein EARLY and GOT BURIED. He was FLAT OUT EMBARRASSED!!!

The time before, NoBiz and the rest ate his lunch. Why are we here going on about him? Don't we have races going on or MORE INTERESTING/BETTER horses to devote space to?

What's the fixation on this and other boards with bad (or MEDIOCRE) horses. Horse groupieISM ---a growing phenomenon.

Don't have his PPs close by but I think Shamdinan is a soft turf specialist (BC and Secretariat were both on softer ground). . .

Didn't he bomb on his last over soft going before coming to the States?

Maybe I'm thinking of another horse, but I thought it was him, and I remember being confused before the BC about whether he liked it or not after winning the Secretariat.

He did bomb the race before the Secretariat (just pulled out my program from last year to check)... it was on soft ground in the Irish Derby against much better competition too. Any G1 in Europe, especially a race of that magnitude, isn't even remotely equal to a G1 in a short field in the US.
