Default Road to the Roses

There is now a tie for first that clearly demonstrates that the people from the Chicago area have the greatest horse racing minds around:

Well the game isn't over, I'm only a point behind, and I've never been to Chicago

Oh, it is far from over and given the crappy overall condition of my stable, I had to brag now because my stay in first place will most likely be very short-lived.

I wish you played all 10 horses everyweek until the derby. It would help idiots like me from losing 11 points last week, by not activating horses.

wouldn't have helped dummies like me with poor horse and jockey selection.

Be nice if the site was working.. Keeps telling me "page can not be displayed" when I click on something other than the homepage..

I'm adding the obvious three:
Big Brown
Hey Byrn
Autisum Awareness (maybe) or Visionaire

Congrats to the #1 in the DT League, "El Boolay Malo". Tied for 29th in the overall standings.

ty. Still kicking myself for not picking up Big Truck (my original plan) and going with Blackberry road. I did however get more exposure out west by picking up El Gato Malo.

Db,

That league is actually the Del Mar Fan Forum League that was offered up to us to join... Not sure if Jim Sebes (El Boolay) is a DTer or not... But Cherry Bomb Blonde (Rhonda Simmons) is and she is 2nd there and 2nd in the "official" DT League. (And technically 1st in the DT League because the current leader isn't eligible for prizes...*)

I'm the only one in the top 10 who has Big Brown.

With Pletcher and JRV still rolling goose eggs as my jock and trainer - I need BB to win the Fla Derby or else the trainers and jocks will have me as toast.

That would be me and yes I am a derby trailer, avid listener and lover of Carolina Barbecue at Toga (last year, first time).

I am kicking myself for not picking him. I have been "anti War Pass" from day 1 of the contest, and when the draft came up, I had my finger on the button to submit Big Brown and not War Pass....it was a choice between those 2. I chickened out at the last second, thinking that if (when) War Pass wins the TB Derby, I'll be left in the dust by all other players. Oh, the agony when WP ran last! So now, no BB for me, which could now be DrugS "ace in the hole". GL, DrugS...I think its looking good for you there, but the draw on the outside could be a bit of saving grace for me!

And seriously, what the heck is going on with Anak Nakal and his dismal performances!?!? Major points lost because of having him in there from the beginning. Oh well....

I love that RTTR game, and it is an honor to play with all of you fine people
(and to be in 2nd place to Steve)!

Cheers!

Rhonda

Yeah Rhonda, I was very shocked almost everyone doing well at the time passed on Big Brown.

But as for me winning it, even though I'll have the 3 favorites in the SA Derby, I'm still an underdog because of Pletcher.

Cowboy Cal appearently missed his workout yesterday...and isn't going to make the Blue Grass where I liked him a lot.

The two Pletcher horses I took (Cowboy Cal and Check It Twice) both haven't shown up in a race that counts for points yet - and Pletcher and JRV are both rolling a goose egg still.

With two wasted Pletcher horses, a wasted jock, and a wasted trainer ... the odds are against me for sure I'd think.

F@@@@@@ing Mott is also killing me. Throwing away 11 pts. in the Sham by not hitting the activation button didn't help either.

But this where it gets interesting. I think I have 6 or 7 running this week as most people do. You have to pick the right horses from here on.

Just noticed that I'm currently 45th overall just behind DrugS.....best I've ever done with the contest. One BIG race to go!
