He was signed to a one-year contract in early 2007- maybe they didn't renew it.

I am one of the Kenny Mayne fans out there. Not going to listen to his picks, but he is sort of fun to watch.

Cannot forget the kids segment during the BC last year. Awesome...

Hank is given a "mythical" bankroll of $500. He hits the Rushaway exacta and winner. So now he has $990 in the bankroll. He makes $240 worth of bets in the Lane's End. Why not bet the whole thing? Does he get credit in the dining room with the leftover cash?

If he got credit in the dining hall, he would have taken the $990 and walked...

Carried over until the next ESPN broadcast at least they got a full hour in without being interupted by some other crap

I didn't hear the lead-in to the bankroll -- but earlier the host mentioned something about how fun it would be to be around Hank all season long -- so I was kind of assuming the bankroll was something that would roll along through the season...

As far as Kenny Mayne -- I don't watch a whole lot of ESPN, so I can't say if and when he's been on lately -- but he was featured in a commercial during the telecast, making it logical that he's still with ESPN.

He was sharing hosting duties on last year's racing broadcasts as well.

All his ADMIRERS are over at Pace Advantage. There's MAN love for Kenny over there. All his groupies, male or female are there.

You're missing out, Ace. Nothing worse than being out of the TRENDY loop.

speaking of ESPN,
their website story about the Lanes End is titled "Yo, Adriano".
uggh.

There are plenty of people there that don't like Kenny, just as I'm sure there are some on both sides of the fence here.

In the interest of fair reporting, there is a reason the fat man no longer posts there, and it wasn't his choice.

Was it a case of "addition by subtraction" by the mods - or was it a case where someone like Tom and Bubbles calling Bernardini "overrated" pushed TFM over the edge...and the subsequent bloodbath resulted in his hiatus?

There is only one person that makes those decisions, and he doesn't pull the "ban" trigger very often.

TFM posts some interesting stuff. I just thought since he has bashed PA a lot recently this info was relevant.

the sad thing is, kenny really LIKES horse racing and wants to cover it. it's not just "the next big event" to him, like it is for chris fowler or mussberger.

Default Mayne's the Best

Where did they dig up this self absorbed idiot to replace him.

Recall last years broadcast late in the season after the breakdown in the first 5 minutes of the show (keeneland????) and he opened after every single commercial break w/ the breakdown.

You could actually see Moss getting ready to explode.

I believe last year mayne hosted races that were sponsored by one set of sponsors, which i cannot recall perhaps it was Citgo and was booted off the NTRA sponsored races.

I firmly believe what ever anyone thinks of Mayne, everyone can agree this dou che bag that replaced him is not only not the answer but a reason to stay at your local outlet and watch the races via there video feed.

Which only kills the espn ratings but then again there all sponsored time so the ratings don't matter
