Default Gulch Jumper privately purchased

Gulch Jumper a two year old daughter of hot freshman sire Jump Start, an impressive winner of a Maiden Special Weight at Prairie Meadows July 14th, has been privately purchased from owner/trainer David McShane and will be heading to join trainer Rick Dutrow.

Thanks for the info Oracle! I'm thrilled to see a Jump Start baby in NY -she seems talented. I'm pretty miffed at Overbrook, though. They have done a lousy job advertising their promising stud. Last I checked, they had him at 3 winners, when he's got 5. Sheesh...

By the way, I haven't had much time to post, but congrats on Wonder Lady Anne!!

Default Oracle - keep it going

Best of luck on your most recent purchase Oracle...
I hope continued success built on your Grade I yesterday..

Would you mind telling us the story on how the purchase of the CCA Oaks winner went down last year? I would be interested to hear that story...

Paul

Simple, she had nightmare journeys in her first two starts. They switched jocks on her and she responded by winning a maiden race at Calder very nicely. Later on in the card there was a MSW at the same distance for colts and they went two ticks slower. Loved the way she won(Track favored dead closers that day and she pushed the pace) and I liked the fact that she was by a "plodder" sire yet had shown precociousness and speed. I told the buying owner that she would be tough in races like the Demoiselle(swear to God, I really said that) later on down the road when they stretched out to two turns. I saw that she had been purchased cheaply, called Tim Ritvo(an absolute great guy and gentleman) and he gave me a price and I called Rick immediately and said we had to have this filly. Got her under contract that day and she vetted fine. The rest is history.
