Default Nakatani

Has he had Ebanks before as an agent?

That could be very positive for him if Ebanks can get into his ear and get him to relax and just f'n ride....

Might get hot soon with Ebanks as his agent, who else has Ebanks now? Mike Baze?

Tyler Baze -- leading jock for those who don't pay attention, LOL.

I was close......

Tyler always finds a way to get cold, so I expect Nak to get hot now. Ebanks seems to get this guys on the right track and then the jock gets sick of them and dump him, and go right back to the wrong track (Ala Talamo)

EB, as eccentric, strange, colorful, etc. as some may think he is -- all would agree that he is very sharp and a very good agent. Certainly not the Ron Anderson type, but he knows how to "move" and position a jock. He gets his jock into the right barns, spots, etc. He'll get jocks into barns that others can't.

Anyway, Tyler has dealt with some personal problems and issues, hot/cold aside. I think most people said Talamo would continue his rise to stardom, Tyler wouldn't reignite what we saw in the past, EB made a bad mistake, etc. EB can take a jock anywhere. Not a lot of agents can do that. He might turn some people off, rub them the wrong way, but he'll come back.

Did anyone catch the 7th, one of the worse breakdowns you will ever see with a horse so close to the finish line for the win. Pretty somber stuff.

That was hard to watch...there were two horses that fell..I saw one run away and looked ok...do you know what happen to who?

Not sure CN will ever get it together...he has a world of talent..but just seems to be a head case.

It's not a thing you want to watch again but he was well clear with about a 1/16th to the finish line when he was suddenly in some distress, obviously he(Waveland Ave.) took a bad step tried to stay up and eventually fell. Valdivia took a bad fall as a result, the other horse fell as a result also but it would seem he is okay. No report on Waveland Ave yet...

Nakatani is an ego maniac. I would like to say hes a terrible rider as well, but Ive always thought he was a pretty good rider when you compare him to the other stiffs out West.

Cory could ride as well and better than the top jocks in the country he just doesn't have the smooth to go with his talent. Some things never change and a new agent wont make a differance.

Friday nite trainer Jack Carava was interveiwed about his fillys chances and her last race, "I missed the race and dont understand what happened because Cory said the filly didn't feel like her normal self before the race, and thats what I dont get? He's never been on the filly before!"

Cory lacks people skills and a good bit of humble pie might be the medicine.

During the one conversation I had the pleasure of having with Mr. Nakatani a few years ago he explained to me about how things really worked at NYRA. To this day I consider myself the luckiest man alive to have been granted an audience with a man as knowledgable as he.

Unfortunately, I do still regret not being able to digest my dinner afterwards.

You are lucky he didn't take a swing at you...as he had some classic jock room fights with Pat V and Kent D.

Isiais Enriquez thrashed him in the jocks room at Del Mar several years ago. C. Nak came to the paddock with an eye socket twice the normal size.
