i read the news this morning. used to watch his old man run years ago, old connie.
such a shame, he left a wife and two young sons.

they need to put some type of sand or something, slow those cars down if for some reason the chute doesn't open-rather than just hitting a damn wall.

The motorcross course @ e-town used to be right next to the end of the
""runway""...and a few times they would be slowing down.. as cycles would be jumping right near that spot..

How many here endeavor to jump on a monster engine and hit 300 mph in one quarter of a mile ( one lap around a running track for those of you so challenged)...and have a few feet to stop? The wall at the end is really a great idea.

I'm sorry this happened......but sometimes you have to realize that 1+1 does equal 2.

well played..the falure at the end of the run was the problem the driver was out..and the wall could have been 500 ft more and still would have got the same results ..but that wall will come down..now..very sad.......

Well it sure is.

It's like baseball and their micro safety screens around home plate. They won't extend them until a bat or a ball kills a fan. Then when they get sued for $500,000,000 ( like in this case...I would guess)...well then they will wrap them around from foul pole to foul pole.
