Wow. He's gotta be like 8 or 9 now, no? I still remember when he set the inner course mile record at the Spa.

This horse was pretty damned good at one point in his career. Think he ran 2nd to Artie in the Baruch or something a few years back.

Silver Tree ran second to Artie.

He was, however, 8th in the FourStarDave in 2004.

It's nice to see L'Oiseau d'Argent back, but I think betting him next time will be a wise move.

He's a stone nutcase, but fun to watch in the paddock and especially in the post parade. He usually gets lathered up pretty good too.

I knew you'd fix it if I was wrong- I should have remembered that result as those were two of my favorites from that year. Guess he didn't run as well at SAR as I had remembered.

He ran very well at Saratoga, as I mentioned earlier. Just not in a stakes.

Actually, at one point in time, I think he held a course record on the turf at Saratoga.

How about Quantum Merit returning to his 4th off a 4 year layoff (or retirement). He WON the Firecracker BCH in '04 Grade 2...maybe the ONLY NY Bred to ever win that at CD!

Todays he runs as 9 yo in a 30G OC in BEL 5th race.

The Silver Bird stays in the nest today. Early scratch.
