3rd at Toga
I have $50 to win on the 8-Forecourt here. I like it's form in England, and looks like it might have had a problem and been laid up for a while.
I am banking that McLaughlin has this thing ready off of the layoff, and I don't really mind the Fasilyev-out of a Forty Niner mare or the bullet work. To me, it seems Defer doesn't want to win too bad and will take that NY money, and the 7 is the only other one who made sense. I have put Crossword in second in exactas, all with my 8 on top.

That has to be the first time Defer'swon a race in about two years, right? Man, was I disappointed in him last year. He's still on my watch list though!

Buffy,
Actually, capping a card and not placing bets is a great way to learn. Then when you do it for "real", you have confidence if you've been successful hypothetically. Have fun on your mini-vacation. DTS
