Default and so it begins

My daughter (nearly 3) dropped her first F-bomb yesterday. I knocked over a glass of iced tea, and there it goes, one word loud and clear. It was all I could do to keep from laughing. I looked at my wife with wide eyes, and tried to carry on. Seriously, we never swear around her, I think my wife let one slip maybe ONCE, about three months ago. Kids pick up stuff real fast. Whats a parent to do?

Good luck with that

Part of the reason I am glad I'm not a parent....worrying about trying to raise kids now a days would scare me.

eh, it happens.
main thing to do is not freak out over a lot of stuff your kid does. they'll do things as teens that will make you appreciate saving up for 'big stuff'!!

it's had it's moments. just don't let your little ones be little monsters, as they don't snap out of it later. i always shake my head when i see a crazy kid, or hear a parent complain because they can't handle their 13 year old. you can't let them get away with murder when they're young and then think you can fix it when they get older. it's like when you go to a restaurant for a nice meal, and see some rugrats demolishing the place. if you let your kid run wild at dinner at home, do you really think they'll behave in public?!

anyway, good luck with your 3 yo. i have a pic here somewhere of my oldest at four flipping off (with both hands) my brother--of course it didn't help that mike said 'hey, do this'. always fun when a single, childless person tries to teach your kid bad things!
