Racing Saddle

I have been searching the internet looking for a racing/jockey saddle, and while I have experience in selecting hunter/jumper and western pleasure saddles, I have no idea what I am looking for in a racing/jockey saddle. If any of you have any experience with this, my questions are:

Should I buy a synthetic one or a leather one?
What are the best brands?
Where is the best place to buy one?
How expensive is the best that money can buy or a good one? I don't want a cheap one. I want a really, really nice one.

Any information on selecting these types of saddles would be greatly appreciated.

Honu could answer that one. She is currently an exercise rider and used to be a jockey.
