Delaware Park 8/6 Race 7
I would be livid if I would have had this exacta yesterday. 9 horse field, MSW going 1 mile on the grass. A 16-1 shot wins ($35.20) the race followed by a 24-1 shot second (pays $28.00 to place), they were the 3rd and 4th longest shots in the field. There was $75,843 in the exacta pool.
The $2 exacta pays $431.80. I didn't bet the race, so I had no interest in the outcome, but that is just downright theivery. Im not much of a conspiracy theorist it comes to horse racing...but this stinks of something seriously wrong IMO. |

That actually isn't an unreasonable number. My formula for "par" exacta payoffs is win price X 1/2 the place price X 90%, which in this case works out to $443.

Thanks Phil. Never heard the formula done that way. |
