Dear Bird Passed On
As I stood over my tee shot I had visions of a nice drive with the ball landing about 225 yards on the left side of the fairway short of the bunker. I was not aiming at you, as God as my witness. I sincerely apologize about your untimely death as I am solely responsible. Again, I was not aiming at you, you just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I do hope that you and your loved ones appreciate my decision to give you the best burial possible with the short amount of time I was working with. Bein g that you must like to live around golf courses you surely must understand the importance of keeping a good pace of play for the people you are playing with as well as the ones behind you. I decided as you know to pick you up with the rake and lay you down in the creek. Best wishes to your friends and family. Sincerely, Curt |

Oh boy, the PETA people aren't going to be happy when they get wind of this!

Another dear bird passed overnight, might have been a suicide. Found him floating in my horses water bucket. PETA would probably not approve of my unsafe conditions (no bird safe buckets) or the method of burial (dumped the bucket outside the barn and walked away).

I would have thought you would have reserved that type of burial for people. |
