Off topic a bit...
Tommy's Luck, winner of the nightcap yesterday at Del Mar looked like a steal at 22.5k. He was claimed by Mullins for Robert D. Bone. He was ridden out, but he sure looked like a bargain covering 6 panels in 1:09.75. Does anyone know how many potential claimers tried to get him?

They are always running that horse for what appears a lower tag than he's worth. He must look like he's gunna break anytime, and they don't want to get stuck. Didn't he romp the 1st time that Melody Conroy trainer ran him for a tag? Must have an ugly tendon, or something. People keep wanting to cash in their chips, and go.

<<Distinguishing characteristics: "America's Oldest Brewery" (founded 1829) churns out a crisp lager with a bit more bite than your average blue-collar beer. Vital signs: The sixth-largest commercial brewer in America is still owned by a guy named Yuengling, an Anglicization of Jüngling. (Brewery founder David Jüngling immigrated from Germany in 1823 and started his company in 1829.) Yuengling is our choice to become the next great American beer.>> Unless they mean that sarcastically... hmm... darn you, Salon! Now I'm confused. Whatever. I like Yuengling.

Anyone ever hear of Centralia, PA? I went on a coal mine tour once in Ashland. PA and they explained to us how it is burning underground and will do so for the foreseeable future. Pretty interesting stuff, as it was once a 'prospering' town. www.flickr.com/photos/veender/622124007/
