Default SAT - La Downs, CRC, & AP

Calder Race Course

R3 - MSW 22K

#4 Sincero - Spot Play at 10-1. Check the tote board because the intention was for him to make his career debut in the Florida Stallion's Affirmed Division a couple of weeks ago.

Louisana Downs

R7 - Happy Ticket 150K (Turf)

#6 Angel in Heaven - Daughter of Smart Strike took some money in stakes last out and finished 6th beaten 4 1/4 lgts. J/T have had success at this track. Expecting better here.
#5 Abbott Hall - Dominated maidens on the lawn at Ellis Park and Robby hops aboard.
#10 Splash of Roses - Stretches out and tries the turf after a couple of 3rd place finishes at ELP.
#3 Meaux Speed - She picked up some tired fillies in her last outing and a minor award seems possible.

R8 - Tiznow Handicap 150K

#4 Jonesboro - This guy is a gamer and fits extremely well at this level. Took the G3 Razorback earlier this year at Oaklawn Park.
#5 Smokeyjonessutton - Main threat is coming off a couple of decent tries this summer at Saratoga.
#1 Got the Last Laugh - If you're looking for value, here it is (12-1 ML). The Assmussen runner has been on a wet/fast, synthetic, and turf surface in last 3, prior to that he ran a 90 BSF on 5/7/08 at EvD (dirt). As a 2yr old he dead heated for the G3 Arlington Washington at AP.

R9 - Sunday Silence 150K (Turf)

#9 Chilliness - Lit up the toteboard at River Downs in his grass debut, then ran a clunker in the Miller Lite Cradle at low odds. Also, he's found a new home now.
#1 Marquee Event - Most recently was 2nd on this course in the Sunny's Halo.
#4 Valid Message - Took the Sunny's Halo with a huge late move.
#3 Satyrs - Team Desormeaux will try to steal this on the front end.

R10 - River Cities 100K (Turf)

#6 Brownie Points - Winner of over $928K, beat the boys last out in the DeBartolo Memorial at Remington Park and also took the G3 Ouija Board at Lone Star earlier in the year. Loves the distance and looks like a strong favorite.
#4 Nice Inheritance - Asmussen runner is as solid as they come.
#10 Candy Ball - Talk about loving a course (6-3-2-1) and distance (6-5-0-0).
#8 Pleasantly Blessed - PVal lands here and the cut back to a mile should help the cause.

R11 - G2 Super Derby

#10 Forest Command - Connections won '01 Derby with the sire and he's only making his 4th career start. Has the speed figures to compete and was last seen winning by 6 lgts at odds on at the Spa.
#1 Stungbythestorm - Another lightly raced runner with some upside and a nice price to boot.
#3 Macho Again - G2 Jim Dandy winner had a horrendous trip in the G1 Travers and looks to bounce back. Respect.
#4 Mambo Meister - Calder shipper has put some nice races together this summer.
#8 Real Appeal - Amoss trainee finished 3rd in WV Derby at nearly 40-1 and should be used underneath

R12 - Unbridled Handicap 200K (Turf)

#6 Ernesto - Has won last 3 of 4 and is 4 for 9 at the distance. Pish / Sheppard look to sneak up on top contenders.
#7 Knockout Artist - Cali invader brings Smokin Joe to the bayou land, but hasn't visited the winner's circle in over a year.
#1 Steve's Double - Also hasn't won since 2007, but he has been facing better.
#3 Tricky Causeway - Came up short to Brownie Points in the DeBartolo and has moved to a new residence.

R7 - PK3 - 3 5 6 8 10 / 4 / 1 3 5 9 = $25
R7 - PK6 - 5 6 10 / 4 / 1 4 9 / 6 / 1 3 10 / 6 7 = $108
R9 - PK4 - 1 3 4 5 9 / 6 / 3 4 10 / 1 6 7 / $45

Arlington Park

R10 - John Henry 50K (Turf)

#7 Prospective Kiss - (BEST BET) Oldest and most experienced runner missed by a length in last year's running. This old guy brings it every time no matter what the circumstances are. The Pick.
#6 Dynaman - This guy is in too good of form to ignore.
#5 General Charley - Coming off a big win and could get a similar trip.
#3 Pleasant Strike - Biggest win came on this course and one could make the case that he's been keeping better company.

Ex & Tri Key - 7 / 2 3 5 6

Good Racing Luck

Thanks Kev,

U.S. off to nice lead. I like the energy on the team this year with the young guns. It used to be Board room (U.S.) vs Bar Room (Europe), but things are changing.

It's been a pleasant surprise thus far, that's for sure. I was impressed with Anthony Kim before yesterday, but this kid has moved way up in my book. Loved the game he displayed yesterday. Not alot of fear there at all.

My Spanx would've won the Donnie Willhite last out if not for a ridiculously poor trip/ride. Unfortunately the same idiot gets back on her today. Worth a bet at anything near her morning line.

I've been on both sides of a DQ on numerous occasions, but Sincero (went off at 3.90 to 1) was by far the best in Race 3 at CRC. The incident happened at the top of the stretch and looks minimal at best to me. Check it out, he's #4.

That was a tough one. He was clearly the best, and to get taken down like that.......I'll keep it to myself.

Good pick dude.

I didn't even know Calder employed stewards until yesterday That was an outrageous take down. The horse he interfered with was not going to finish any better than he did after the incident. Not even an inquiry, just an objection.
Between this and the double DQ at Arlington last week,
