Another in a series of desperate moves.

Why is this NOT shocking?

I think both sides now realize we are fucl<ed if things don't come together. I expect Obama will go along and do the same. In the big picture it makes sense.

The country needs both sides to cut out the cross-talk and do the right thing-find a solution!

I'm sure I'll regret asking this, but why do YOU think this is desperate?

Do you really think either of them being there is going to make one iota of difference? This close to an election both will just go with the popular sentiment of their party.

Oh come on. Its not like he is in some special committee. He is getting crushed in the polls right now and he knows the election is slipping away with the economy.

He knows where the mood of the country is and fair or not fair, its against his party. He knows that Friday is an awful time to debate obama.

He pulls this and he can play the whole patriotic maverick card with the numbskulls that don't know the difference.

He can do the senate things and still debate.

Since it was to be a foreign policy debate..don't you think McCain would be at an advantage? so why would he want to avoid Friday?

They've been blowing off the part of the job they get paid for for how long already? Like a couple extra days is going to make a difference.

McCain would usually be at advantage doing foreign policy in my opinion but...is anyone going to listen to that RIGHT NOW? He can be talking about North Korea and all the public is going to hear right now is economy, economy and maybe some economy.

So in essence, McCain would be debating to his strength at a time when no one will even care thus weakening him further.

BHO says that he doesn't want to postpone the debate, which could be very interesting if McCain just doesn't show up...

That would be a blunder of epic proportions. Regardless of the Maverick thing they are pushing, McCain's whole persona is supposed to be based on bravery and honor.

Not showing up for a debate would demonstrate the opposite extremes to those wonderful traits.

The solution is to do nothing. These wall street guys have infiltrated the Fed and have already cashed in big time.
If they print these yahoos more $$ that's going to make yours worth even less.

Wow. What a cheap and pathetic move. It's clearly meant to shove Obama into a corner, so politically, it was a pretty brilliant move.

It's just posturing and I hope Obama doesn't bite, mostly because I'd just prefer to have a President capable of doing two things at once.

Someone should tell McCain that dealing with foreign policy and dealing with domestic policy is not an either/or, mutually exclusive, proposition once you're in the White House.

Sad and desparate. But then again, cheap, dishonest, and slimy moves like this have bred success for the last eight years, so why not stick with what works.

If it's not incredibly clear that, regardless of what you think of Obama, McCain has absolutely zero business running this country, add this notch and let me know when you finally figure it out.
