Default I am officially rooting AGAINST Bernardini now.

Well some of you guys have managed to make me root against a horse for the first time since Empire Maker. I frankly hope that Invasor or Flower Alley or some other older horse beats him now for no other reason than to make some of you eat crow. I usually like AP Indy's but you guys have gone so overboard here that I can't hardly believe it.
Listen the horse is really good. Nobody could question that. However, after reading repeatedly in threads with completely idiotic titles like "Barbaro Who?" and "Hand Him HOY Now" I started to get tired of hearing about this freakin' horse. Then I just read in a different thread that I thought was about the horse's jock that apparently Bernardini is not only better than Barbaro but also better then Ghostzapper!! Sure Ghostzapper defeated in his career three horses named St. Liam, Roses In May, and Pleasantly Perfect, but apparently they just can't compare with Sunriver and Oh So Awesome.

I don't usually root against horses, but I am now rooting against this one. I don't care who wins the JCGC and the BCC, I just hope it isn't him.

Yep....I actually think he might be a decent play against in the Travers (two huge numbers back to back) unless no one shows up there. Field size will tell me alot, I am hoping for at least 8, but will probably get 5, and a 6th that doesn't belong in a Claiming 50k race

I was thinking Strong Contender but after watching Berardini in the Jim Dandy, I just dont think so. I realize he didnt beat much in Sunflower and Ministers Bid, but thats not really his fault and he looked like he could give just about any horse in training a run for his/her money that day.

No thanks, I'll watch him win at 1/5.

There is a big difference between the Barbaro Who crowd and the Bernardini supporters. I thought Bernardini was ok but still wasn't a 100% believer until this weekend, but now I have to admit Cunningham and even Bold Brooklynite were correct.

The jockey didn't say the horse was better, he just liked him better, which is probably because he is still running. They are jockeys, of course they are going to say they like the current runner better. But still, if he is comparing the two than Bernardini must be a special horse.

I seriously doubt he will get beat in the Travers. He is probably just too talented for the competition he will face there. I would wait until the JCGC to bet against him.

I'm not talking about anything the jockey said because yeah, you are right about that. I mean after all, GS rode the "greatest horse he had ever been on" about 402 times in his career. I'm talking about the posters who said something like "Bernardini will probably end up being better than Ghostzapper because GZ didn't beat Roses In May by very much in the BCC." What?

Well, whatever. I am done talking about Bernardini until Travers week.
