SAT - CD & FG Late PK4
Churchill downs POST SCRATCHES
R7 - OC80k / N$4 (Turf) #7 Master Mizzen - Comes in off the bench with a legitimate shot for Carroll/Leparoux. Always seems to get played. #1 Kingship - Former G3 winner fits well with this group. I'll excuse his last two (Turf sprint and G1 Shadwell). #6 Gaelic Storm - Romans/Robby team up with runner that 2 of his 3 career wins have come on this course. #5 Barastraight - Hasn't found the winner's circle in over two years, but is 2 for 2 going a mile on the lawn. Finished 2nd to Canela ( Race 9 - #9 River City Handicap) last out. R8 - Bet On Sunshine Handicap 56k #2 Kelly's Landing - Big boy won his return last month at KEE and will attract a ton of cash here. #3 Euroears - Speed ball is 6 for 6 to start career and is training well for the comeback. #1 Native Ruler - Latest was his best and it took place on this surface. Seems to have the right style to make this real interesting late at a nice price. R9 - G3 River City Handicap (Turf) #1 Yate's Black Cat - This is definitely his favorite course and a bit of improvement should find him visiting the camera. #11 Thorn Song - Grey will be easy to spot on the front end and will rely on his class edge to hold the others off. #9 Canela - Anything close to a repeat effort from last outing should get it done. Leparoux sticks. #5 Karelian - Has shown flashes of talent and a knack for finding the wire 1st. R10 - MSW 42k #3 Captain Cherokee - Has been working well without missing a beat since early Sept 2008 and from my experience this expensive purchase ($650k) is expected to fire at 1st asking. The toteboard might tell the story. Singleton #10 Sangre Frio - Should improve in 2nd start. #7 Mission Gap - Another 1ster that is well meant. PK4 - 1 5 6 7 / 1 2 3 / 1 5 8 11 / 3 = $48 Fair Grounds POST SCRATCHES R7 - Old Hickory 60k #1 Entry - F. Torres named on both, so expecting one will scratch. I'll take either one as the top choice in this event. #4 Bertsgoldenmissle - There is some serious speed lined up for this event and the son of Golden Missile could be the beneficiary of a pace melt down. #7 Proud Jefe - Adds the hood after facing some nice juveniles this year. R8 - La Breds OC50k / N1Y #3 Mr. Barracuda - Makes 13th start of the year. Has had success facing La Breds and even beat open company a few starts back. PVal hops aboard. #7 Sprighty Star - Stopped in the Mr. Sulu last week (6-1 odds), but when he comes to run he's more than capable here. Trusting him is a different issue because if you look through his PP's there are some races where he rather be somewhere else. #10 Meteor Impact - Made return from 22 month layoff in a La Bred Alw race at LaD and finished a non threatening 4th. Obviously needed that one and I'm willing to see if he could rekindle that fire that he showed a couple of years ago. R9 - Pontalba 60k #4 Yonakee - Took some money in debut at KEE (8-1 - 12 horse field) where she had a bad draw, missed the break and had a troubled trip. Adds the blinkers here and will be ignored at a juicy price. I'm taking the plunge. #8 A Day for Dancing - Asmussen filly has been consistent and visits her 6th track in young career. R10 - MSW 42k (Turf) #8 Hope for Us All - Wide trip in debut at KEE going 6 panels and should appreciate the switch to other side of the fence as he's bred for it. #1 Powerchord - Most likely favorite ships in from the Northeast for Mott. Kinsmans's homebred will be ridden by PVal. #5 Cat Springs - Didn't show much in only start three weeks ago at CD, but the lawn could be a wake up call since his Damsire is Kingmambo. PK4 - 1 4 7 / 3 7 10 / 4 8 / 1 5 8 = $54 Good Racing Luck

I am not sure if Gus f'd up the ticket or not, but he has the 5 and 8 on the ticket that he POSTED (yet never mentioned Demarcation) and now needs Midnight Lute's half brother to win for what has to be a monster P4

OUCH, Captain Cherokee blew the break. Sangre Frio was going to be tough regardless.
