Default Barns quarantined at the Fairgrounds

Stewart and Howard's barns are quarantined at the Fairgrounds for a filly testing positive for equine herpes. Well they share a barn so it really is only one barn.

Sure hope everything works out okay. This is just another step in the learning process for us "first time" owners. I find it interesting that you can ship direct to Delta Downs. I don't understand.

43 scratches today

thought it had to be muddy and off the turf, then i see its fast and firm.... not allowing shippers in, this should make for an interesting card

Don't forget what equine influenza did to Australian racing last year. Contagious stuff can be a nightmare. Right now we have Quarter Horses in KY on one farm positive for contagious equine metritis.
