Nice field. Could go 4 wide and still miss out on winner.

Leah's Secret? WTF? What happened to going out a winner in the Sunshine Millions?

lol...
there was a article on drf.com about a week after she won the Sunshine Million race, It said Pletcher thought she could become a Grade 1 winner over that surface, so they were leaving her in training with that goal.

Life Is Sweet is her name. Pointing to the La Canada on Sunday which is restricted to 4YO.

With the large field and some of the 4-year olds in the race nominated to Sunday's Grade 2 La Canada Stakes, I would expect a scratch or two.

Roshani, who has made her last 10 starts on turf, is nominated to Monday's Grade 2 Buena Vista Handicap (she is 2 for 2 on the Santa Anita turf course and 3 for 5 at the one mile distance of the Buena Vista). Of course, the Frankel horse (Modern Look) with strong European form that will run in the Buena Vista could be tough, despite the long layoff.

Todd Pletcher has 3 horses entered, with Eibar Coa coming from Florida to ride Leah's Secret. This is a far tougher field than the Sunshine Millions Distaff -- any scratches would help reduce her far outside post position.

Bejarano, who rode Country Star and Bsharpsonata in their last race, switches over to Model (who has never been off the board in 7 synthetic starts and only off the board once in her lifetime of 14 starts).

If Briecat and Mystical Plan stay in this race is a pace meltdown a sure thing?
The horse who I think has a big chance to win this race is Country Star.

She went off form in 2008. Her Spa turf race was OK but the return race in January on this track was a good race. Country Star has the 3 post so she'll save ground on theh clubhouse turn. I think when the pacesetters start backing up, the race sets up perfectly for her.

I think Visit towers over this field in terms of class. I know she's switching to synthetic, but she's a turf horse, so she should love it.

I can't argue with Frankel's other entry. I had a win bet on her in the BC F&M Turf and for a few seconds she gave me a thrill as she got through on the rail and it looked like she might win.

FYI... Frankel said Country Star galloped Sunday morning and was scheduled to work Monday following the gate mishap in Saturday’s Santa Maria Handicap that caused the late scratch...

That's the second gate mishap for her isn't it? She really doesn't like the gate
