Don't know if the A's are ever gunna lose again.Freaky good pitching, and the defense is ala Cincy Reds in the mid 70's(not kid'n ya.)I'd like to think Texas will do something against them, but they will most likely lay tummy down on the bed for them, too.The A's have played the Mariners 12 times this year.In 8 of those games, the Mariners have had only 2 runs or less.I can only remember one team that frustrated teams this much.Cincy in the mid 70's.Brings back bad memories. When you have men on base, and your batter hits a line drive down the 1st baseline, exactly how much momentum do you think your team loses when the 1st baseman makes an incredible diving stop, and runs to 1st base with a sarcastic trot? Then he runs (without breaking stride mind you)into his dugout, and does a Lasso dance with wifebeater Milton Bradley etc..Not fun,and nobody should look forward to playing them. The scary thing is that their hitter friendly pitcher (Loaiza)showed good signs of life in his last outing. His fastball showed pop that he hasn't had in about 2 months. After they play Texas, they play nobody good at all for about 10 games straight. Will be surprised if they head into September with less than a 5 game lead.Only way they don't is if they have unexpected injuries,or Bradley/Payton start a clubhouse race war.He could beat his wife/girlfriend to a pulp, and that may effect the team somehow.
