ahhh....no Golden Gate to worry about this week.

With 4 stakes races and a decent MSW, the Magna finale should get a lot of play Saturday.
Hopefully, the biggest non-carryover week of the series

Would like to here other opinions and strategies in tackling the final Magna 5 of the year.
Here are my initial pre-scratch thoughts on the Laurel Race.

8 - Bullsbay - Obvious class edge, but still never won at Laurel or going 1-1/8.
3 - Ryan's for Real - Lost all chance in last with bad break; toss try in the mud in the G1 Pimlico special two races back and he fits in this spot. Strong works coming into the race and always seems to fire a good effort 2nd off layoff. Lots of past success at Laurel.
4 - PV Lightening - Will be one of only a couple who want the early lead. With short run to the first turn, he should be able to clear the 3 horses to his inside and establish good position

I'm assuming that the 9, Kurbat scratches. The 5 Admiral's Cruise looks like a turf horse, and with a 7-yr old with 5 lifetime wins, I'll let him beat me. Crimson Comic may have distance limitations. If both of Dicky Small's entries run, I might consider including them. Both seem to have similar deep closing styles and I'm not sure how effective that will be in tomorrows race. I don't think Dick and Jane will have too much fun.
The 2 horse, Senior, has decent form at Laurel but seems overmatched. With only 2 wins in 16 lifetime starts, I'll pass.

LEG A looks like a spread race. I'm waiting for scratches to come out and a better idea of how the weather will be before I come up with my selections.

In LEG B I think 4.Gotmymojoworkin is a live contender with the two month break and a return to Santa. I'm tossing the non effort in the Sunshine Millions. 5.Reynaldothewizard ran well in his career debut. He lost all chance at the start at the Spa,and had a troubled trip 3rd place finish. Toss the Keeneland race. He's been working well for his return and does not face a top notch field.

I'm considering singling 1.This One's For Phil in LEG C. Big Drama's record speaks for itself but he's been MIA all winter. He handled my top choice but the was before Dutrow. Can he handle him with Dutrow is the question I have.

I have it narrowed down to 6,7,8 in LEG D.

In LEG E I'm tempted to single 2 Quality Road but will probably include 4 Dunkirk. I might single QR on a saver ticket,

I think BZ Warrior could be the value in the Swale.
