Default What was your biggest miss...

Of this weekend? Mine had to be not betting Swap Fliparoo... instead of taking 5/1 on her, I opted for a horse 3 times the price- Win Mccool. Sure Swap may have been an underlay at 5/1 but a $13 horse is still nice.

Nearest potential score was a simple big win bet on Kazoo, who ran his eyeballs out, only to lose near the wire. That hurt.

Just missed the late pick 4 (and pick 3) at Del Mar on Sunday... I got a little cheap with a $4 ticket but had correctly singled Lucky Thirteen in the 7th and Jump On It in the 9th - took Happy Ticket and Healthy Addiction (winner) in the 8th but went with Wee Jinky and Sea Battle in the 7th - Sea Battle just lost by a nose and Wee Jinky was 3rd... $1 P4 paid $353.50 with a 7/2 winner in the 7th and probably would have paid over $500 with Sea Battle winning (he was 8-1)... that one hurt

i named songofthesailor as my pick for GPK's contest and then didn't bet him while at the track--of course he paid $27 to win...

I never regret a non-bet on a winner I thought an underlay. Never.

I dont normally either but I passed up a very logical horse at 5/1, yet couldnt run fast enough to the windows to key 9/5 Running Dog and 1/2 Artie Schiller in bets that totaled $300. At some point you have to scratch your head.

I had Yankee Thunder singled in the Pick 3. I played 2 Pick 3's, both alive to that race. One was for $5 in which went 2 deep and then singled both Invasor and Yankee Thunder. The other I went 5 deep in the first leg and used both Flower Alley and Invasor in the second leg. That Pick 3 was for $2. I am po'ed, but I learned a lesson.

Prayin for Cash surely took some funny money yesterday. Would have expected Flashy Bull and Deputy Glitters to both take more money than him. I looked up and saw 5/1 most of the time throughout the betting and began to think should I bet him to win?
Well he ran huge but ran into a monster in Blue Cat.

we had to go away yesterday and right before we left, i thought i'd make my Haskill play incase we didn't get back in time.

i logged into xpressbet and punched in 3-5-7-9 $5 exacta box. (well i THOUGHT thats what i did)

we got home at 6:30, i checked the results and my #5 hunch pays off! until i checked xpressbet!..... i forgot the 9!....ouch!
