Default the preakness

out of the top four finishers yesterday, only papa clems folks have come out and said on to pimlico.

mine that bird-they're saying wait and see. that md was never in their plans, and they may just wait for the belmont (yeah, right).

baffert said he'll wait a week to see about POTN.

mustket man-either preakness or belmont, not both. i'd go preakness, skip belmont, but it's not up to me.

pletcher looking to run join in the dance, but not dunkirk who has an injury to his hoof. his take the points also supposed to run in md.

no go for quality road of course.

i'd think general quarters would go on-i think he hated the track yesterday, i didn't like how he looked on it in the post parade.

big drama and mr fantasy are also supposed to run in the preakness. i really think it'll be a full field.

baffert is pretty 'emotional' as he put it. he thought he had the race won. i wonder if he goes back for a second chance, tries to beat the first horse to beat him...or does he go back to where POTN wins? and i'm NOT saying he can't win the preakness. but i am saying, that horse is sure thing on syns.

I think were looking at a non-Derby starter winning the "Black Eyed Susans" this year.

i think it's another year of three classic winners.

i wonder how much rachel would have won by yesterday.

I think his horse looked like a worn out rag doll coming down the stretch. He said before"why go anywhere when I can make a million dollars in Cal".He should take his horse back there and stay there.

Yeah, Zayat will skip the Preakness with Pioneer of the Nile. That will happen.

If you believe that you also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

the top three won't be at pimlico. anyone wishing rachel would face boys may as well get over that too.

Should of, would of I know, it's tempting to speculate. I don't see why she shouldn't try males at one point in her career. It certainly didn't hurt Zarkava last year, though being a filly her upside in the breeding shed wouldn't be enhanced as much as a colt would. From a sporting perspective it would be a dream to have her take the torch from Curlin.

i don't either. but her owners are dead set against it. they evidently belong to the 'girls run harder, get hurt vs boys' crowd. sort of like the trainer of the derby winner spouted the 'preakness favors speed' nonsense when talking about where they'd go to next.
anyway, they put out her remaining schedule, and it's all distaff.

The Preakness should have a full field, not sure what the maximum number of horses entered can be at Pimilco are, but based on yesterday's results anything with 4 legs will be running.

should i take anything from musket man closing late down the middle of the track, when it seems the rail was the best place to be?
