Default TV Coverage

Tell me there's something else on tv for the Preakness other than the 4:30pm start time for the NBC programming. I saw the cross promotion of including it on the Today Show by stumbling upon it on my digital schedule thingy but who knows how much and when it'll be on that. I'm confused though. No programs on ESPN's schedule? (ETA: All I've seen thus far is some SportsCentury programs on 3 TC winners. Seriously? You get more viewers from some billiards thing than Breakfast at Pimlico? Grrr. I used to get to make a whole day out of this, the under card may not be huge but geez, Preakness segments anybody? Kenny Mayne? No?)

I see NADA....Bull riding at 12 pm on ESPN classic.

What a shame, I also use to love the morning shows for the triple crown. I guess all we have is Steve's replay shows.

There isn't much to talk about except Rachel Alexandra.

If she gets ganged up on or hurt... We are in trouble.

They might as well let her take a three length lead and walk in.

You are soooo right about that.
Funny with Japan on tonite and VODKA running yet again in the Victoria mile..there is so much hype about the fillies going up against the boys here and yet it is done all the time outside the US.

Yes, the tv coverage is seriously lacking this time, guess they figure no triple crown..glad I have both HRTV and TVG.

Dish Network gives you HRTV and TVG even for thier most basic monthly plan.

Direct TV will only give you TVG and you will have to pay more for it.

It's not the basic plan on dish it's the next one up,I have dish for 1 channel and one channel only. I HATE, LOATHE, DESPISE dish but it's the only way I can get HRTV and watch my home track The Fairgrounds. So I have both Direct and Dish. Wish Cox would come over this side of the Lake.

Sadly NBC is. This coverage is as pathetic as any I've seen. They don't show the 11th race even though they have 90 minutes of time. Instead dribble.

Other then people who bet, who cares about that race? They are setting up the story that actually brings in the numbers.

Sorry, but they are killing the story to death with stupid anal details that are boring for any living human.

ESPN 360 is not available to millions here in the NY tri state area because Cablevision does not get it.

How to Get Access to ESPN360.com

ESPN360.com is available at no charge to fans who receive their high-speed internet connection from an ESPN360.com affiliated internet service provider. ESPN360.com is also available to fans that access the internet from U.S. college campuses and U.S. military bases.

Your current computer network falls outside of these categories. Here’s how you can get access to ESPN360.com.

1. Switch to an ESPN360.com affiliated internet service provider or to contact your internet service provider and request ESPN360.com. Click here to enter your ZIP code and find out which providers in your area carry offer ESPN360.com

2. If you already get ESPN360.com at home and activated remote access, sign in using the myESPN link in the upper right hand corner. In order to activate remote access, you must sign in through your ESPN360.com affiliate Internet Service Provider.

3. For Verizon Customers Only:
Sign-in using remote access if you already get ESPN360.com

they had a "blimp view" earlier showing you could have driven a 3 iron through the infield with little risk of hitting anyone.

No I have DSL. It doesn't just come on your internet like any old website. For whatever reason your cable provider has to allow it like they would any channel in their package and Time Warner, at least here, does not. Philistines. I'm not sure if it's because they're jerks or they have issues with showing a "channel" of horse racing online. There's no gambling like TVG but still, they might not care. We gotta be saved from ourselves don't ya know. I might get corrupted by hitting the exacta.

I'm kinda upset cuz my DVD recorder had a malfunction and didn't record the coverage. Sure I know it was crappy coverage compared to what I'd hoped for, but it was RA and I was excited about that. I always tape the races in case there's a TC winner and I can see all the stuff leading up to it and keep it for posterity. Well, just as well MTB didn't make it, although I told my dad he sure looked like he was going to do well today. Did you see how he was walking around? He looked like a standout on tv other than Rachel, at least to me, even as a tiny lil guy that's not otherwise flashy.
