Default "ATR": J. Rotz; R. Small (Broad Brush), and a visit from Tom Skiffington!

Looks like I've landed the one and only Johnny Rotz, Hall of Famer, for tonight's Thoroughbred Legacy segment.

Rotz will talk about the '62 Preakness win with Greek Money and the objection by Manny Ycaza on Ridan; the '70 Belmont win on High Echelon; and his riding of Gallant Bloom, Carry Back, Globemaster and Ta Wee.

Ask him what he thought about the 'Rotz off" betting angle that Davidowitz wrote about in his handicapping book.

Broad Brush's trainer Dickie Small and Steve Haskin at 4:30 now added to the lineup.. We'll listen to the '87 Big Cap where Broad Brush faces off against Ferdinand and Snow Chief.

I hope this will be available to hear again--as I have a dinner engagement , though I would much rather spend the evening with Gentleman John ...

Steve

Another outstanding show. Especially enjoyed Dickie Small and the Tom S call in. No shortage of "Best of" material for your next vacation.

Great talk with Dr Allday regarding May foals.

Another reason for their success might be being born in Jan/Feb in KY the weather is not warm yet. No way to go outside with mare and probably kept indoors during cold winter and physical development could get stagnant where as the April/May foals get to bounce right out of mare and go outside and develop quicker and healthier eating that bluegrass and exercising more right out of the "gate"! Early exercise might produce healthier bones and muscle development...remember what Dustin Hoffman looked like in Pappion after being in jail for months/years with no exercise!
