![]() Just wondering if y'all think it makes a huge difference when the favorite runs 4th in the super (say vs. a 5-1)?
I hit the last race super at Hollywood (for a dime) and it paid about $900 with the favorite running 4th. I know there is no way of knowing but I always have some angst when I have a super with all in 4th and get the favorite. Just curious if it really changes the ticket... In this case it was 9-2 over 10-1 over 44-1 over 2-1 (5-1 was 5th). |

![]() of course it makes some difference. I imagine the favorite will be widely bet in all slots, 1st through 4th

for the most part, the typical wager in a market that allows dime supers, has a group of horses used for 4th. the favorite and the 5-1 will both be on many tickets and have somewhat similar value. |

![]() spreading wide for fourth is the right move....whether the favorite comes in or not its still the smart bet.
